<description>ASA Bro Curtis, and others. It seems that there is an injustice being done to the wife of Imam Mohammed by his former wife, and other family members. My not being close to the issues, prevents me from knowing the specific details, so I&#039;m writing based on information that I&#039;ve received. I stand to be corrected on any mistakes that I make, as my ONLY concern here is Justice. With that being said, I begin.
Bro Curtis, when you were being denied the right to attend Jumaah service at the Houston Masjid, you continued to keep the issue before the community until a wrong had been righted. I have written on this forum, as well as in the MJ about these kinds of injustices meted out to the common believer by dictatorial imams in support of your receiving justice in that matter. Thank Allah it has been resolved with justice.
Now we are faced with another situation in which it appears that the family of Shirley Muhammad is doing an injustice to the wife of Imam W. D. Mohammed. I&#039;m wondering why are we allowing this to happen, without saying anything about it?
Shirley, Lailah, Wallace, and others, these are not special people that they shouldn&#039;t be called to account for their wrong doings. Why don&#039;t we hear the voice of Imam Darnell Karim, and other imams in the local area there who are close to the issues, and family as well, and would seemly know whats going on?
One of the primary reasons why wrong is able to gain momentum, and strength, is because those of us who &quot;say we stand for truth&quot; is too slow in standing for truth. The idea that this is somehow a personal, or family matter is a sign of immaturity on our part as a community. it shows that we haven&#039;t grown to the level whereas we can handle these kinds of issues from an Islamic perspective. Because of the people involved, and now the allegations of tampering with funds that belong to others, makes it a total community concern.
On this forum we call ourselves, &quot; The Model Community.&quot; To allow injustice to proceed unimpeded is to &quot;Model ourselves&quot; after this world&#039;s example. There is no &quot;Royal Family.&quot; We are all Muslims, looking for justice. Justice is the very first consideration, not the feelings of family members.
Let us consider the fact that &quot;WE&quot; who follow Imam Mohammed, and understand his instructions are suppose to exercise the epitome of true justice in this society. The first order of business is not to hold &quot;Mock Ramadan Sessions, and Conference Calls.&quot; The first order of business is to make sure that Justice Prevails! ! !
Lastly, please allow me to say that we cannot do or say anything that will tarnish the life, and leadership of Imam Mohammed. The world already knows of this Giant of a Man among us. However, we can show the unwillingness in ourselves to grow as a community. We can only make ourselves look bad as a community. Those who Allah placed among us to do good works are responsible for waht they do. We who are here right now are responsible for what we do.
ASA, Your bro, Imam Shabazz

		<description>Surah 29. The Spider
1. A.L.M.
2. Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, &quot; We believe&quot;, and that they will not be tested?
3. We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false.
4. Do those who practise evil think that they will get the better of Us? Evil is their judgment!
5. For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah (in the Hereafter, let them strive); for the term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming and He hears and knows (all things).
6. And if any strive (with might and main), they do so for their own souls: for Allah is free of all needs from all creation.
7. Those who believe and work righteous deeds,- from them shall We blot out all evil (that may be) in them, and We shall reward them according to the best of their deeds.
8. We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me (in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have (all) to return to me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did.
9. And those who believe and work righteous deeds,- them shall We admit to the company of the Righteous.
10. Then there are among men such as say, &quot; We believe in Allah.; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men&#039;s oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah. And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, &quot; We have (always) been with you!&quot; Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation?
11. And Allah most certainly knows those who believe, and as certainly those who are Hypocrites.

		<description>As Salaamu Alaikum, Bro. Siddeeq
I was in hopes and prayers that this grave issue was in the process of being resolved, but not yet.
Several of us contacted our Imam about this matter,he posted support of Khadijah on our Masjid website and demands of a retraction of the lie that was PUBLICLY STATED AND RECORDED INTERNATIONALLY.
Each time I&#039;ve read or heard &quot;this is a private family matter&quot;,&quot;don&#039;t put out your dirty laundry??&quot;I keep asking myself,WHAT PART OF THIS DON&#039;T PEOPLE OF THAT MENTALITY GET????
IT WAS AT A PUBLIC AIRPORT WHEN KHADIJAH WAS HARASSED.IT WAS AT THE PUBLIC JANAZAH OF IMAM W D MOHAMMED WHEN KHADIJAH WAS DISRESPECTED AND MISTREATED.IT WAS AT A PUBLIC PRESS CONFERENCE HELD AT MUSLIM JOURNAL WHEN A PUBLIC LIE WAS ANNOUNCED(It really bothers my spirit that this took place at the Muslim Journal, and NONE OF THE STAFF-EDITOR OR ANYONE ELSE PUBLICLY CORRECTED THAT STATEMENT????)THAT PUBLIC PRESS CONFERENCE WAS USED TO PUBLISH A LIE INTERNATIONALLY.SO HOW MUCH SENSE DOES IT MAKE TO SAY KEEP THE MATTER PRIVATE,IT&#039;S ALREADY PUBLIC!
It is a matter of whether you choose to be supportive of the effort to retain honor and respect for our leader Imam W D Mohammed and his wife Khadijah. Or not.
Informing us of this situation has allowed me to get a sense of some of the attitudes and feelings of some muslims in the community. It has probably been helpful to you, your daughter, and family to hear and read that there are people who did not respect Imam Mohammeds&#039; right and choice in marrying Khadijah(however, you probably are aware, and it is helpful for me and others who were unaware). They emphasize her age and his age, they imply or say outright ,he was confused...or he made a mistake.I understand why Imam Mohammed publicly stated &quot;stay out of my business!&quot; As I read those kind of comments,I hear insult and disrespect for Imam Mohammed and Khadijah, and they choose to do this PUBLICLY!But, they say Don&#039;t Be Public?
As you indicated in your writings, the news media , writers will begin their own investigations of this PUBLIC MATTER,so is Sultan Mohammed [family spokesperson],Laila Mohammed[the person who stated the PUBLIC LIE that &#039;Sirley Mohammed is the wife of Imam W D Mohammed&#039; at the PUBLIC PRESS CONFERENCE],AYESHA MUSTAFA[Editor of Muslim Journal, where the Press Conference was held],are any of them going to make a PUBLIC RETRACTION STATEMENT OF THE LIE???Probably not,but the leaders??? should demand they do so, or call a press conference themselves.
I expected a collective response of strength and effort[through the leaders] that would have at least resolved the LIE by giving a retraction statement in a Public Press conference by now.
May Allah bless you,Khadijah, your family and all who strive to uphold Imam Mohammeds&#039; honor and legacy.

		<description>Dear Brother Siddeeq
I am a real estate broker and I have dealt with probate matters for several years. But many years ago some of us heard from Imam Mohammed the problems that he had with his former wife, Shirley. She caused our Imam grief, but I do not believe that he divorced her LEGALLY. Therefore I am almost certain that she has rights in the state of Illinois. She did bear him children and was part of his life for many years. I also would venture to say that he wanted her to have some financial protection upon his death in spite of the difficulties that she had given him. Khadijah, too, has rights and is entitled to protection. What the Imam wanted for her should have been written. But we who love him and follow him KNOW that she is Imam Mohammed&#039;s wife and that he loved her. And we love her because of that fact. WE ARE ALL IMAM MOHAMMED! All million, ten million of us from California to New York to Mississippi to Canada and beyond. We are a community and Khadihah is a part of our community. We are obliged to care for her like our Imam would have wanted us to do. Let us focus on the positive. So now, collectively: A HOME FOR KHADIJAH! Your Brother, Ameen

		<description>My Brother,
I sympathize with your daughter as I feel she has been wrongly treated. She is young and I know the death of Imam Mohammed affects her tremedously as it has all of those that supported him. However, you are trying to fight your personal battle with the community. And what I mean by personal battle is that you were responsible for giving your 19-year-old daughter over to a 70+ year old man. You have indicated that he agreed to take care of your daughter. Did you not follow the tenents of the religion and get in writing what he said he was going to do? Talk is cheap and we need to have legal documents to substantiate whatever legal issues we have. You have to be accountable for your actions as well.
Your Sister,
Lancy

<description>ASA,May Allah continue to Bless you with insight and courage and know that you do not stand alone in your striving for Truth &amp; Justice. I am outraged at what transpired and I support you in your efforts to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)in exposing the blood sucking of our community by those who have taken this opportunity to rape the memory of our leader and pillage his legacy. &quot;Like a vampire dies in the light of the sun so shall their falsehood die in the Light of The Truth&quot;.
