THE MUHAMMAD UNIVERSITY OF ISLAM SUMMIT REUNION CANCELED

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

When I wrote the enclosed document on June 19th I made two mistakes that a Muslim should never make:

1. I left out “Ensha Allah” (If it is the will of Allah) and
2. that the events of history are ever ongoing.

A Muslim should never leave off “En Sha Allah”, but I did and obviously it was not the will of Allah that this reunion go forward because:
AS OF TODAY THE MUHAMMAD UNIVERSITY OF ISLAM REUNION HAS BEEN CANCELED.

However I do recall in the history of Prophet Mohammed the desire for the Believers who once were one with their fellow tribesmen, the Quraish making a gallant effort to have a similar reunion of sort. The Muslim followers of the Prophet traveled all of the way form Medina to Mecca only to be denied the right to perform Umrah by a few who did not want to see this reunion happen. I’m sure that there were people on both sides wanting their fellow brothers and sisters to come together for this great uniting as is the case in this effort. However despite our best effort the will of some former students and staff believe we should make this effort at a later time as was the consensus in the day of the Prophet at the signing of the treaty of Hudabiyah

My personal thanks and appreciation goes out to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Brother Akbar Muhammad for their sincere and genuine support and giving so much time and effort to try to make this reunion happen. En Sha Allah, it will happen in the future. When it does, support it.

Special thanks to all of you who supported this most wonderful effort.

THE MUHAMMAD UNIVERSITY OF ISLAM SUMMIT REUNION SHALL AND WILL GO FORWARD AS SCHEDULED NO MATTER WHO JOINS OR WHO QUITS!!!



The Honorable Imam, W. D. Mohammed told us that during the time of the Prophet (pbuh) he, in his attempt to move the community forward, suffered all types of trials and abuse. He went on to say that when ever a man like the prophet comes on the scene and attempts to follow in the way of the Prophet, that man and his supporters will suffer the same type of trials that the prophet and his followers suffered. In the time of the Prophet when people joined the ranks of the Muslims only to walk away or withdraw their support because of some small trial or challenge, Allah revealed to the Prophet to tell the dedicated believers:

“…TO ALLAH IS MY GOAL…” (I come from Allah and Allah is my goal, no trials or misfortunes will disturb the course of my life which has a much higher goal then mere comfort, COME WHAT MAY THE CONTENTMENT OF MY MIND AND SOUL IS NOT DISTURBED)

NO MATTER WHO MAY COME OR GO…. THE MUHAMMAD UNIVERSITY OF ISLAM SUMMIT REUNION IS GOING FORWARD AND ALMIGHTY G-D ALLAH HAS BLESSED THIS EFFORT TO GAIN GREAT SUPPORT FROM PARENTS, STAFF MEMBERS, ALUMNI, FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS FROM BOTH INSIDE AND OUT OF THE COUNTRY.
