Comment from A Believer

With the Name Allah, The Merciful-Benefactor, The Merciful-Redeemer

Dear Believers;

As-Salaam-Alaikum (The Peace be on you)

May Ramadhan be a month of many-blessing for us.

NOTICE: IF YOU ARE NOT A BENEFICIARY OF THE WORK OF IMAM W. D. MOHAMMED (MAY ALLAH BE-PLEASED WITH HIM) OR HAVE A NARROW-WAY OF THINKING--------------DO NOT READ THIS!!!

Here are a few-verses-signs or omens of the Qur’an for those-who-give-thought. And let me state here, I am a follower, maybe a distant-follower of the Messenger-Mohammed ibn Abdullah (prayers and The Peace be on him) but I believe a closer-follower because of the intervention of the Merciful-Benefactor in my life by permitting the hearing of the one by the name of Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be-pleased with him).

Each-one of you are unique, no-one-else in the creation of the heavens and the earth looks exactly-like-you or has your experiences or thinks your thoughts. So here are my thoughts. I never heard of Imam Muhammad Siddeeq until the maltreatment of his-daughter, the wife of Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be-pleased with him), Khadijah Siddeeq Mohammed. Do you see how Allah works? I heard of Khadijah Siddeeq Mohammed but not of her father. And if the person, property and honor of his daughter was treated with the sacredness due to all of us, especially the publicly recognized wife of one whose work on emphasizing the more-correct-concept of men and women and the role of marriage in our community I would have not heard of Imam Muhammad Siddeeq or have the need of hearing his message. Nor would you have heard of me.

None of you, Brothers and Sisters should-tolerate the disrespect and neglect by ignoring or acting as though it’s none of our business, in the affairs of a Muslim brother or sister. And all of you Brothers and Sisters should stand for the sacredness of the life, property and the honor of one-another.

Abu Bakrah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was riding his camel and a man was holding its rein. The Prophet said, “What is the day today?” We kept quiet, thinking that he might give the day another name. The Prophet said, “Is it not the day of sacrificing?” We replied, “Yes.” The Prophet said, “Which month is this?” We again kept quiet, thinking that he might give it another name. The Prophet said, “Is it not the month of Dhul Hijja?” We replied, “Yes.” The Prophet said, “Verily, your lives, property, and honor are sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, and in this city of yours. It is incumbent upon those who are present to inform those who are absent because those who are absent might understand what I have said better than the present audience.”

Source: Sahih Bukhari 67

THE WORD SACRED, I MUST GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

BECAUSE WE ARE DISCUSSING, THE LIVES, THE PROPERTY AND HONOR OF

ONE-ANOTHER HERE. THAT WHATEVER THIS “SACRED” IS IT HAS THE SAME VALUE AS THE DAY OF SACRIFICE, IN THE MONTH OF DHUL HIJJA, IN THE CITY OF MECCA. THAT IS A PRINCIPLE OF FAITH, THE HAJJ!!!

THAT MEANS THE LIVES, PROPERTY AND HONOR OF ONE-ANOTHER IS AS SACRED AS THE FIFTH PRINCIPLE OF FAITH. AMONG THE DEFINITION OF SACRED IS: ENTITLED TO THE HIGHEST RESPECT OR REVERENCE. NOT TO BE PROFANED OR VIOLATED!!!

I ASK A QUESTION HERE-----DO WE UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PROPHET AND MESSENGER (PRAYERS AND THE PEACE BE ON HIM) SAID?

Maybe all of this (The affair of Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be pleased with him) and Khadijah) happened so we might learn a lesson!

THE MESSENGER (PRAYERS AND THE PEACE OF ALLAH BE ON HIM) SAID

“It is incumbent upon those who are present to inform those who are absent because those who are absent might understand what I have said better than the present audience.”

WE WERE ABSENT AND NOW WE ARE INFORMED.

DO WE UNDERSTAND WHAT HE IS SAYING IN THE ABOVE STATEMENT?

DO WE HOLD SACRED THE LIVES, PROPERTY AND HONOR OF ONE ANOTHER AS WE HOLD SACRED THE DAY OF SACRIFICE, IN THE MONTH OF DHUL HIJJA, IN THE CITY OF MECCA!

IF WE DO NOT! CORRECT IT!

CORRECT THIS! For your own-good. The way you do (this) anything is the same way you do everything. Please listen and give this some thought. I was once a welder and a fabricator and in this is a sign for any who give thought. The procedures required certain basic skills.

1. Technical skills

Knowing the use of tools, reading of the blueprints and the book on the specifics.

And many times we did not have the blueprints for the entire structure we just had the blueprints for our part of the building.

2. A clean and level base for building on.

This means no dirt on the floor, remove all obstacles, prepare the environment

for the building and the foundation must be on the level. If not so, MAKE IT SO.

If you do not make it so you will feel like a clown when someone makes a expletive comment about your work.

We have not prepared the environment since the passing of our leader Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be-pleased with him).

3. The tools and materials for building.

The tools must be clean and perfected for the excellent outcome.

The materials for the building must be the right thickness, width and length, if not make them so.

The tools we work with are the Qur’an and the creation of Allah.

We do what we can do, Ablution, prayers and supplications, give the charity, fast, and make the pilgrimage. May Allah purify us.

4. A perfectly squared base for building.

The base is built on the measurement of the square. If not square then correct it.

That is if you want to join this in this work you must be on the square!

No crookedness, be on the level, no tricks, no schemes, no slyness, no deception but if you are not it, if you bring deception, tricks, or have a scheme, then know that we know that Allah says “they plan a plan and Allah plans a plan and Allah is the Best of Planners” and it will all show in what you make.

And Allah is Sufficient, The Best Disposer of Affairs.

5. And an awareness of the noted tolerance for the specific weldment.

The building has a specific tolerance. That is the vertical weldment can be off no greater than what is specified 1/8 or 3/16 etc.

If your tolerance is greater than what is specified, the 1/8 or 3/16 becomes 1 inch, the 1 inch becomes 6 inches, the 6 inches becomes 1 foot and so on, until the weldment can no longer bare the load and it will all come tumbling down unless the structure is corrected in time.

“All the world's a stage,

And all the men and women merely players.

They have their exits and their entrances,

And one man in his time plays many parts,”

William Shakespeare's As You Like It,

It seems for me your-roles are clearly identified in the verses of the Qur’an. So choose your part insha-Allah (G-d-Willing) with wisdom. And play your part(s).

Frederick Douglas played his part.

Sojourner Truth played her part.

Harriet Tubman played her part.

Dr. George Washington Carver played his part.

Nat Turner played his part.

Marcus Garvey played his part.

William Ware played his part.

Fard Muhammad played his part.

Elijah Muhammad played his part.

Rosa Parks played her part.

Dr. Martin Luther King played his part.

Dr. Ralph Abernathy played his part.

Louis Farrakhan plays his part.

Siraj Wahaj plays his part.

Imam Muhammad Siddeeq plays his part.

Imam W. D. Mohammed played his part. (May Allah be pleased with him.)

Many unnamed supporters of each of these named and unnamed leaders and their unnamed supporters played their parts.

And I am playing my part. I see that there is the Unseen, Merciful, Benevolent Hand present in all of this (the stage of the world). That is the Merciful Benefactors’ intervention in the unfolding of minuscule seemingly insignificant events as well as historical and seemingly events of great consequence leaves me in awe. I see in this affair of the Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be pleased with him) and his wife Khadijah one of those moments, where the Hand of The Merciful Benefactor is intervening for the lesson of growth for us all. And like all lessons, if we do not pass, then we are doomed to repeat it (HEARING AND OBEYING THE MESSAGE, THE QUR’AN AND THE MESSENGER {PRAYERS AND THE PEACE OF ALLAH BE ON HIM}) again until, if we are fortunate, pass. And it manifest In this and other ways.

There are other challenges and test down the road. For example: 1. the affair of the Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be pleased with him) and his wife Khadijah. 2. The affair of the Masjid in Philadelphia.

While we're on the subject of Philadelphia, I thank Allah for Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be pleased with him) and his work for establishing peace among the humanity. I don’t believe that peace is at the price of common-sense, I believe that peace is on the foundation of faith and rational thought. In Surah 9 it reads:

17) It is not for such as join gods with Allah, to visit or maintain the mosques of Allah while they witness against their own souls to infidelity. The works of such bear no fruit: In Fire shall they dwell.

18) The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practice regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.

I am emphasizing here the criteria, the Qur’an.

The Prophet and Messenger Mohammed ibn Abdullah (prayers and the Peace be upon him) is playing his part.

But he is not here. How is he playing (present-tense) his part? You may ask this question, read the Miraculous Book, The Qur’an. The follower of the Messenger Mohammed ibn Abdullah (prayers and the Peace be upon him), Imam W. D. Mohammeds’ (May Allah be pleased with him) life experiences resembles, I mean, I see many similarities in these two lives. But that would take us on many other subjects, let’s stay on point.

The Imam W. D. Mohammeds’ (May Allah be-pleased with him) restrictions on his intellectual property maintains the purity of his words and it also encourages originality in the students. This demands the use of what The Merciful Benefactor has put in your head and hands. One weakness of humanity is the dependence on influential personalities especially our community. I am only expressing my thoughts, out of my perspective, my experiences, expressing my opinion and I am aware of that. And I am aware that you have your opinion and I am open for hearing those opinions. For not speaking your opinion, when you have knowledge, in such a matter of great consequence is negligence. A lifeguard at the beach is a qualified swimmer with the training for saving lives. If in the process of saving a life he brakes the arm of the drowning person he is not liable for damages. But if he sits and does nothing, his doing nothing amounts to negligence and he is liable for damages.

And I am conveying that perspective herein.

Here is something for consideration.

Two months after performing the Hajj (Farewell Pilgrimage), Prophet Muhammad fell ill. He continued to lead the congregation prayers. After one of these prayers he invoked special blessings on the martyrs of Uhud, and then addressed the Muslims:

“There is a slave among the slaves of Allah (The One God) to whom God has offered the choice between this world and that which is with Him, and the slave has chosen that which is with God.”

Upon hearing this Abu Bakr (ra) wept as he understood that the Prophet was talking about himself and that the choice meant his imminent death. The Prophet continued:

“I warn you O Muslims to be good to the Ansar (the Helpers, i.e., those residents of Medina who helped the Emigrants from Mecca). They have performed their duty well. Muslims will increase in number but Ansar will dwindle and be as salt in a meal.

“Woe to the nations before you who worshiped the tombs of their prophets. I forbid you to do that. O people, the most unselfish of men to me in his companionship is Abu Bakr, and if I were to take from mankind an inseparable friend he would be Abu Bakr - but the brotherhood of faith is ours until God unites us in His presence. O my dear daughter Fatimah and O my dear aunt Safiyah, spend your efforts in the way of the hereafter for I will not be able to help you against the Will of Allah.

“I go before you and I am your witness. Your meeting with me is at the pool (a lake fed by the celestial river Kawthar where believers will quench their thirst on their entry into paradise.). I fear not for you that you will set up gods beside Allah (The One God); but I fear for you that you will rival one another in worldly gains.”

Upon hearing this, Abu Bakr (ra) who was later to become the first caliph went to the mosque and delivered one of the noblest speeches:

“O People! If Muhammad is the sole object of your adoration, then know that he is dead. But if it is Allah (The One God) you Worshiped, then know that He does not die.”

He then recited the following verse from the Qur'an, 3:144, which was revealed after the Battle of Uhud:

“Muhammad is no more than an Apostle: many were the Apostles that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will you then turn back on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah; but Allah (on the other hand) will swiftly reward those who (serve Him) with gratitude.”

4:76 » Those who believe fight in the cause of God, and those who reject faith fight in the cause of evil: so fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.

Note: The word in Arabic for fighting not only means combatants, it also means to mitigate or to alleviate something. I am sharing my-opinion in this spirit.

7:79 » So Saleh left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the message for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but ye love not good counsellors!"

6:33 » We know indeed the grief which their words do cause thee: It is not thee they reject: it is the signs of Allah, which the wicked contemn.

6:34 » Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers.

6:35 » If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,(what good?). If it were Allah's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)!

9:107 » And there are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and infidelity, to disunite the believers, and in preparation for one who warred against God and His apostle aforetime. They will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good; but God doth declare that they are certainly liars.

9:108 » Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of thy standing forth (for prayer) therein. In it are men who love to be purified; and God loveth those who make themselves pure.

9:109 » Which then is best? he that layeth his foundation on piety to God and His good pleasure? or he that layeth his foundation on an undermined sand cliff ready to crumble to pieces? And it doth crumble to pieces with him, into the fire of Hell. And God guideth not people that do wrong.

9:110 » The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicion and shakiness in their hearts, until their hearts are cut to pieces. And God is All Knowing, Wise.

9:111 » God hath purchased of the believers their persons and their good; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and
slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than God? Then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.

9:112 » Those that turn (to God) in repentance: that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the Cause of God; that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limits set by God; (these do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers.

17:53 » Say to My servants that they should (only) say those things that are best: for Satan doth sow dissensions among them: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy.

22:52 » Never did We send an apostle or a prophet before thee, but, when he framed a desire, Satan threw some (vanity) into his desire: but God will cancel anything (vain) that Satan throws in, and God will confirm (and establish) His Signs: for God is full of knowledge and wisdom:

22:53 » That He may make the suggestions thrown in by Satan, but a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease and who are hardened of heart: verily the wrongdoers are in a schism far (from the Truth):

34:20 » And on them did Satan prove true his idea, and they followed him, all but a Party that believed.

34:21 » But he had no authority over them except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and thy Lord doth watch over all things.

35:6 » Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire.

4:83 » When there comes to them some matter touching (public) safety or fear, they divulge it. If they had only referred it to the Apostle, or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have tested it from them (direct). Were it not for the Grace and Mercy of God unto you, all but a few of you would have fallen into the clutches of Satan.
When it comes to them some matter touching (public) safety (the public safety here is the future of the community) or fear, they divulge it. If they-had-only-referred it to the Apostle,(what did Muhammad(Prayers and the Peace be upon him) say in the Qur’an) and I emphasize here those charged with authority among them and the proper investigators who would have tested it from them direct.

In New Jersey there was a Masjid that had a guest speaker but for lack of (If they had only referred it to the Apostle, (what did Muhammad (Prayers and the Peace be upon him) say in the Qur’an) and I emphasize here those charged with authority among them and the proper investigators who would have tested it from them direct.) They opened the door (Masjid) to the blind sheik who was arrested in the New York terrorism attacks as a welcome speaker. This Imam would have acted better if he had referred this affair to those charged with authority among us and the proper investigators would have tested this affair. And give this influence a refusal.

We are for inter-faith and intra-faith[R1] interaction. The Imam W. D. Mohammed (may Allah be-pleased with him) has given us a Vision, Blueprint, and a spirit for living the best life in our country. That life includes seeking peace with our Creator, seeking peace with our selves, seeking peace with our neighbors and seeking peace in the world of matter.

I see a need for men who will not neglect the responsibility of guarding the welfare of the community of Muslims in the United States of America.

103 And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided.

Note: The Rope is The Qur’an
